I was born in California in 1965.
Just before the Summer of Love.
My favorite movies growing up were Lady Kung Fu,
Harold & Maude, Performance, The Man Who Fell To Earth,
Tommy, and of course Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
My earliest favorite musicians were Tiny Tim, Cher, Al Green,
Janice Joplin, Dan Hicks, Elton John, and David Bowie.
I grew up in the 70’s enjoying Arts and Craft Fairs,
going to concerts in Peoples' Park,
eating unusual food at pot luck parties in Berkeley,
and dancing endlessly to Stevie Wonder's Key of Life.
I always had a pet.
Usually a dog, and sometimes also a cat.
I always knew I would be some kind of an artist.
In the 80’s and 90’s I went to art school, studied abroad,
and exhibited my photographs around the world.
In 2004, seeking a new medium, I discovered letterpress.
Austin Press was Born!
In my free time, I enjoy swimming, massage,
acupuncture, soaking in hot mud, making juice, pemfing,
and buying fabric for handmade dresses.
I live and work in beautiful San Francisco.
I am grateful for all I have in my life.
